Yes, my friends, that was my typical eating out fare on any given day of the week. Those of you that know me well, know that I love food. Hands down. And lots of it. However, prior to the New Year, I began to seriously reevaluate my health and my diet. I have always worked out, but mainly stuck to cardio and avoided weight lifting like the plague. To make matters worse,my diet has always been pretty suspect; mainly encompassing a little bit of vegetables and a whole lot of cookies!
So during my evaluation process, I figured I would seek out a trainer to work one on one with me. I wanted someone who would not only listen to my fitness goals, but more importantly, push me to work towards them.
After hearing/reading about Simply Fitness, I met with Gail Givens-Williams (owner/trainer) and began training with her immediately after. Thus far, I have definitely seen results in a relatively short span of time, as my body is beginning to build more muscle tone. In addition, I have made a conscious effort to incorporate healthier foods( lots of veggies, fruits, and whole grains) into my everyday diet, while still making room for the occasional cookie....or two, to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Gail is extremely knowledgeable regarding fitness/nutrition and gently,but firmly challenges me to push myself further than I ever expected. My journey is not over yet..... It is clear that Gail cares about her clients and helps them to achieve their fitness/nutritional goals. I strongly encourage anyone who is focused, looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle (and work their butt off in the process!) to seek out Simply Fitness!
On a personal note, I just want to say how extremely thankful I am that you are my trainer! In the past few months, you have helped me to transform myself not just on a physical level, but also mentally. As a child who did not grow up with the strongest sense of self esteem, it took me a very long time to gain a stronger sense of self.
Because of you, I now walk and dress with more confidence, feeling more secure with the "skin I'm in". To me, that's more than I could ever ask for in this life.
I can truly see that you take your role as a trainer seriously and I hope you realize that you have the ability to change people on levels beyond physical transformation.
